We have access to black walnuts & I understand that pigs love nuts. But, what’s the deal with the green outer husk? Will the pigs eat that part too, or do they wait for the husk to rot off and then feast? Would there be a limit on the amount of walnuts that they should eat?
Our hogs remove the husk themselves, chomp thru the hard shell in 1 or 2 bites and eat the meat inside. I’ve never seen any extras laying on the ground. As for as a limit you may need to seek that advice from your vet or your States head vet office.
