Our sow is 7 weeks post her second litter. She suddenly developed inability to walk. If we drag her up she will stand on her front “elbows” not on her hoofs, briefly and than flop to her side. She doesn’t even move the back legs. She will wag her tail. She eats and drinks, but we have to put the food right in front of her on the ground. She cannot stand or walk. She is having urine and stool output. She was seen by the vet Friday night, got an injection of antibiotic and steroid, but no significant improvement as of Monday afternoon. We were thinking of infectious arthritis. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.

You speak of the taboo subject…

Inquiring minds would like to know… Edward? What say you?
