So my farm partners formed another farm company and want to liquidate our current farm company. Has anyone had any experience with this before? Price-wise, our animals are worth more dead than alive. We don’t own any machinery, but we do have some equipment that has probably depreciated. We rent land, so we won’t have to sell any land.

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

    Thanks!

So does this mean you are not going to be raising LB’s anymore? I hope that’s not the case 🙁

You need a CPA to answer this one. There are a large number of variables that would have to be taken into account, whether you have depreciated your breeding stock being one of them.

Sorry I can;t be of more help.
