On the LBHA home page it shows 1731 registered hogs but 7120 total hogs in database.

Since the LBHA is for Large Black Hogs and not other breeds, where does the difference in numbers come from?

bbPress ANTISPAM: Referrer: The 1731 registered hogs is the amount the people have actually sent in and did a registration of and have gotten an actual certification. The 7120 total hogs would be the other 5389 hogs left over that are on litter certificates that were never registered, and/or have not contacted the LBHA to have that hog number removed from the database due to death or processing by other means

Some of those 7120 hogs are on the registry for historical purposes, so that they can figure the CI of litters that are arriving today.
