Looking for information on feeding acorns to Large Blacks. I have heard things ranging from acorns make the best pork to acorns will ruin the meat and kill the pig.
We have a local butcher who swears that he can tell by looking at the poor quality meat that the pig ate acorns. He says it makes the meat grainy.
Does it matter what variety of oak tree the acorns come from?
