Hi All, I wanted to let everyone know how helpful Kelly and Duane Luzier have been to us since we purchased our first gilt from them last spring. We had our first litter recently with overnight temperatures below zero! Our sow had a long, difficult labor and I spoke to Duane a few times throughout the night and into the next day about the care and consideration we should give to both mama and babies. Thanks to the help he gave us, we were able to save the whole litter. Although we are bottle feeding every three hours, we are more than happy with our first litter. Thanks again to Duane and Kelly!
Aw! Thank you. You are so very welcome! It’s wonderful to hear stories of successes such as yours. We were very pleased and excited to hear that you were getting piglets and that they were doing so well. Bottlefeeding will give you some of the friendliest LBHs on the planet. It’s hard work, we know (been there, done that) but so very worth it in the end!
Good luck and please do not hesitate to give us a ring if you have any further questions. <3 our LBHs!
Aw! Thank you for the shout out, that’s so sweet! You are very welcome. Any time you need help or have a question please do not hesitate to call again, and again, and again!! LOL! Our goal as LBHA members is to perpetuate the breed and educate others about how great they are. Stories like yours make it all worth while. We’ve bottlefed in the past ourselves and know that it will produce healthy, happy hogs with super great personalities, so be prepared to be overly loved by some hearty hogs in the future!
Good luck with those piglets and let us know if you need any help in the future!
