We have a gilt we were raising as a market hog. She accidentally got bred. She delivered yesterday. At what point would the quality of the meat not be affected by the birth? Thank you
The meat quality will not be affected. I would let her raise her piglets and after you wean them off her then you can take her to butcher. I have done this before and the meat is still exceptional.
