Does anyone feed lemons or other citrus fruit to their hogs?

Hogs do not tend to like citrus fruit so I wouldn’t waste time giving them to it. Now if we have some juiced lemons we do throw them to them but I am not sure who cleans them up – pigs or chickens.

Our hogs love citrus. But we make sure to regulate it like any other treat. Only once a week or so. Satsumas just came off in this area of the country and they eat the meat of it and by the next day clean up the peelings. It doesn’t hurt to add them as a treat within reason. They are happy pigs when they get a treat!

Did not know that about lemons! I squeeze some every week and have been throwing out the rinds! Next week I will test them on our hogs. Thanks!
