Has anyone had luck converting a pig from not being raised on pasture to pasture and doing good.

bbPress ANTISPAM: Referrer: Hi there – we are relatively new to LBH – maybe just short of 2 years. We have a bit of ground and when the grass grows, they eat it! If they have plenty of room, and grass to eat. We have used electric fence at 2 heights for the adult pigs and they tested it once each, and now respect it. Hope that give you some help. We also offer them some mash/grain/soaked teff to supplement their feed.

bbPress ANTISPAM: Referrer: I have some commercial cross bred hogs that came from a confinement system, they weren’t put on pasture until they became adults, but have done very well. Hogs in general love pasture, woods, fields, mud etc., and do well in it. As long as they have shade to keep cool in summer and shelter in winter they can thrive.
