Skelton Farm is 237 acres located in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. Terry has been farming his whole life as well as managing two county co-ops. Amy has a degree in Animal and Dairy Science from Mississippi State University and she puts it to use on the farm. We are raising our children, all six of them, to love farming and to be good stewards of the land. We have raised heritage hogs for the last 15 years, and in 2013, we found the Large Blacks. We are pasture raising registered Large Blacks, as well as registered Berkshires. The bloodlines we are using right now are a Defender boar and Prudence gilts and one Matilda gilt. We plan on expanding our operation over the next two years. We also row crop over 100 acres of non-GMO crops to supplement feed our hogs. We are also certified Animal Welfare Approved for humane treatment of our animals. Raising hogs isn't a hobby for us, it's our living and we take pride in what we are doing.
